| I have been fascinated by space and astronomy since I was
a young boy but only took up astronomy as a serious hobby a few years ago. Having chased down all of the Messier objects visible
from Northern Europe in my
first season I quickly graduated to film based astrophotography. This meant long
hours standing out in the cold on the top of the Ridgeway in Oxfordshire UK
surrounded by the denizens of the night. It was well worth the effort but the
arrival of our first daughter meant that any imaging would have to be done from
closer to home. CCD seemed the only answer with promises of Hubble type pictures
from your own suburban garden.
Through
this web site I hope to share with you some of my successes and
